Contemporary biographical research faces the challenge of explaining individual singularity without separating it from the historical, social, and cultural conditions in which it develops. In this context, the convergence between History and Psychology offers possibilities for moving beyond both biographies focused exclusively on chronological reconstruction and psychologizing interpretations of the past. This article critically analyzes the epistemological and methodological complementarity between the two disciplines and proposes a historical-contextual psychobiographical model applicable to the interdisciplinary study of historical subjects. A qualitative theoretical-documentary study was conducted through a critical and integrative review of classical and contemporary literature on psychobiography, historical psychology, conceptual history, subjectivity, and biographical research. The foundations of the characterological analysis developed by Leonardo Griñán Peralta are also critically reconsidered as an antecedent to the integration of historical explanation and personality analysis within Cuban historiography. The findings identify five interdependent dimensions: historical context, life trajectory, personality configuration, decision-making, and historiographical construction of memory. Methodological risks associated with retrospective diagnosis, psychological anachronism, pathologization, and documentary overinterpretation were also identified. The main contribution is a historical-contextual psychobiographical model that integrates documentary evidence, historical contextualization, and psychological interpretation through triangulation and inferential prudence. It is concluded that the integration of History and Psychology strengthens biographical research when it recognizes the historicity of psychological categories and understands personality as a dynamic configuration linked to experience, context, and action.
